New York City's Central Park is known for being one of the most filmed locations in the world, and you'll be impressed when you take a private highlights (2-3 hours) tour & learn its fascinating history and far-reaching cultural influence around the globe.

Your Highlights tour may focus in on the southern section of the park, where we'll discover several movie sites from the 1950s to the present.  While you take in the carefully landscaped grounds, you'll spot iconic Central Park landmarks, including the Bethesda Fountain, The Imagine Memorial, and the ever-popular Alice in Wonderland sculpture.

Explore an elevated green space in the heart of New York City and a global food hall on this 2-3 hour walking tour.  Your highlights experience includes a stroll along the High Line, a strip of nature rising above the city streets atop a former railroad viaduct.  You'll learn about the history of the structure, its carefully constructed ecosystem, and some of the surrounding buildings serving as its backdrop.  We'll dive into the history of the neighborhood as well and see the transition of the Meatpacking District from industrial to trendy.  Your local guide will also introduce you to the historic Chelsea Market, where you'll  have the chance to try food from around the world!

Part of the reason that NYC is known for being one of the most diverse and colorful cities on the planet is the robust immigration communities throughout the city, some having established themselves many decades ago and some more recent. You’ll enjoy 3 different ferry rides through New York Harbor as you visit 2 of the most well-known immigration icons in the world: the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island (where you may be able to look up your own immigrant ancestors in their registry records!). After exploring the immigrant experience of the past, your guide will lead you on a modern foodie adventure through the Financial District. You’ll hear stories of modern immigrants and taste a variety of dishes. At the end of your tour, you’ll be full of inspiration and delicious treats!

Your tour starts at the heart of New York City and the theatre world - Times Square. From there, your local guide will show off a variety of iconic theatres where your favorite shows have played over the years. You’ll hear about the history of Broadway and some of these incredible theatres as you stroll under the marquees and dazzling lights of the Great White Way. You’ll also head into Hell’s Kitchen to explore the off-Broadway theatres where world-famous shows make their debuts before they become beloved classics. Along the way, you’ll get the chance to go behind-the-scenes with a tour through an active rehearsal studio and, of course, enjoy an afternoon surrounded by the hustle-and-bustle in Manhattan.
